Discover the beauty of Joshua Tree on a private horseback riding adventure that combines scenic desert landscapes with intimate wildlife encounters. Relax in cozy tents overnight and experience a true escape into nature's serenity.
Cascade Trails Mustang Sanctuary is a Joshua Tree–area ranch offering glamping, camping, and horse experiences that bring guests close to nature and gentle horses. The property features a range of accommodations — from the luxurious La Estrella deck with two elegant tents and shower access, to cozy bell tents like Desert Daydream, Oasis, Durango, and El Dorado’s four-person bell tent, plus the La Luna geodesic dome and rustic dry campsites such as Campsite #6. Each glamping option emphasizes outdoor comforts: private firepits, premium linens, outdoor seating, solar lights, and occasional buddy heaters for cooler nights.
The sanctuary operates family-friendly horse activities, including supervised pony rides for young children led by a family member or staff, and guided sunset trail rides through the nearby Joshua Tree desert for riders aged eight and up with some riding experience preferred. Evenings center around campfires and star-filled skies, with outdoor games and al fresco dining opportunities at select sites.
Bookings are organized per stay type and emphasize safety and comfort: tents and domes are staged for small groups or couples, firepits are private to certain sites, and some sites include refreshing showers and outdoor cooking amenities. The sanctuary presents a low-impact, nature-first approach to hosting guests, combining accessible riding options with tranquil glamping. Cascade Trails Mustang Sanctuary offers a curated set of stays and activities designed to create memorable outdoor escapes for families, couples, and small groups. Reservations are recommended during peak season to secure preferred dates and accommodations and personalized welcome information upon booking.
