Throughout the year South Island SUP and Mer Tales Ocean Journeys organize fundraising SUP events that are suitable for new, beginner and seasoned paddlers.
New Year's Day Polar Bear 🐻❄️ Paddle, International Women's Day, Earth 🌎 Day and Oceans 🐙 Day fundraising SUP events start the first half of the year.
Toward the end of the year we look forward to dressing up for our annual Hallowe'en 🎃Witches and Santa 🧑🏼🎄 & Friends fundraising paddles!
We raise money for charities such as Victoria Mustard Seed Foodbank, Bridges for Women Society and Pacific Wild. Fundraising consists of sales and paddling community donations.
Come join us throughout the year and have extra fun on the water.
We usually paddle from Willows Beach or sometimes Gonzales Bay (Victoria, BC) depending on the weather.

A few ideas: Santa or elf hat, Hallowe'en costume (witch or warlock hat), broom paddle and pumpkin depending on the event!
Wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions and water activity (layers are a good idea, avoid cotton).
Drysuits, boots & gloves can be added to your booking for an additional fee.
Bring a towel, change of clothes (just in case).
Use a strap for your prescription glasses or sunglasses (available for rent or purchase).
Leave your electronic keys, phone, etc. on shore or place in a dry bag (available for rent or purchase).
