This trip is designed for those who have little to no experience using a paddlecraft.

This class will take place at Jim Lake. We will teach you how to paddle a kayak or Stand Up Paddle board and then give you time to put into practice what you have learned as we float and paddle around the lake and creek.

What is the cost of this adventure?

$100 per person, for adults $75 per person, for youth 6-17 Per paying adult, one child aged 5 or younger may participate as a free lap rider. Must contact us in advance to schedule a lap rider.

Online reservations must be made by 5 PM the day before the tour. For next-day or same-day bookings, please reach out for availability.

What to bring

There can be wind blowing off the glacier or coming from the mountain so we recommend that you wear the following:

  • Non-cotton base layer
  • Quick drying shirt and pants
  • Fleece jacket
  • Rain/wind outer layer pants and jacket
  • Hat with drawstring or a beanie
  • Shoes that can get wet and dry quickly (flip-flops are discouraged)

Additional services

A shuttle service is available upon request. The round trip to and from Anchorage is $175 per group
