You step out of your car onto a steep cobbled street and the town seems to lean with you — houses clinging to the hillside, wind from the Verde Valley nudging dust down the slope. The game begins on your phone: a riddle, a photo challenge, a winding path through a place where mining scars, art galleries, and panoramic views compete for attention.

Parts of Jerome include steep grades and narrow sidewalks; while some areas are wheelchair accessible, the full scavenger hunt may include sections unsuitable for wheelchairs.
The ticket covers a team of up to 12 people; the experience is self-guided, so larger groups should stick together and split tasks if desired.
Jerome rose rapidly as a copper-mining boom town in the late 1800s, then declined mid-20th century; later preservation and artists transformed much of the town into a living historic district.
Slope stability and fragile desert vegetation make staying on designated paths important; avoid trampling roadside plants and pack out all waste to reduce erosion and litter.
