You pull away from Saigon at dawn, the city's hum shrinking behind the jeep's open windows as rice paddies and low palm groves edge the highway. By the time the visitor center appears, the heat has already begun to press; shaded banyan trees and patched concrete give way to earthen embankments that hide a labyrinth beneath.
