A dust-scented track opens into scrub and rocky spine as the jeep climbs toward the Akamas Peninsula. Wind pushes through juniper and thyme; the sea flashes below in sudden breaks of turquoise. On this small-group safari the vehicle is a tool to reach open headlands, short coastal walks and a beach where the Mediterranean dares you to swim.

Akamas carries classical myths—local lore links the peninsula to Aphrodite—alongside a long pastoral tradition; many coastal features were used by fishermen and shepherds for centuries.
Large parts of Akamas are protected and sensitive turtle-nesting beaches are monitored; stick to paths, avoid lights at night on nesting beaches and follow guide instructions.
