You arrive at dawn under a sky the color of washed indigo, the Anti-Atlas rising like a folded spine ahead. Rock faces here are steep and sun-baked, streaked with lichens and the faint handprints of generations of shepherds. Your guide — the only AMGA-certified rock guide based in Morocco — sorts ropes and checks anchors while the valley below wakes in slow, savory patterns: goats, a distant village bell, the smell of bread.

No — day one covers essential ropework and belaying; however, basic rock climbing experience and comfort on vertical terrain are recommended.
