About This Tour

Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Jasper for this half-day sightseeing tour of Jasper National Park. While touring through Jasper, you have a great chance of seeing all types of wildlife due to the remote location of this Rocky Mountain town. The first stop on the tour is the Maligne Canyon, where 10,000 years of erosion have created the deepest canyon in the Rockies. Start off with a short and easy walk, admiring the Maligne River and its many waterfalls as you cross back and forth across a series of bridges.

From May to October, you'll make a stop at the disappearing Medicine Lake, followed by the fairytale-like Maligne Lake for a walk around the lake, or a boat cruise out to Spirit Island which can be included as an optional add-on from June 1st to October 9. The exact opening dates are dependent on the ice melt and could be added on the day of for late-May tours.

From December to March, you'll have the option to strap on some ice cleats and go for a walk through the Maligne Canyon where you can see the frozen waterfalls up close. For those feeling less adventurous, an itinerary focussed on wildlife viewing may be more suitable.

Upon completion of the tour, your guide will drop you off at your hotel, or the location of your choice in Jasper.
