You roll out of Medellín before the sun warms the valley and the road climbs into a patchwork of coffee fincas. Fog lifts from steep, green slopes to reveal Jardín’s red-tiled roofs and a square dominated by a basilica whose bell seems to mark the town’s slow pulse. Rivers cut through the hills nearby, daring you to follow their cool currents into cascades and swimming holes.
