On a three-day loop from Palmas you move through a landscape that alternates between river pools that refuse to sink beneath you and broad, wind-sculpted dunes that push at your boots. Fervedouros — natural artesian pools — buoy you in warm, clear water while waterfalls cut through ironstone canyons.
