The route begins with the hum of a train and a quiet Japanese station platform; within an hour you trade commuters for steep green walls and a river that dares you forward. Riders meet in Awa-Ikeda, transfer toward Oboke, then board a short bus ride that drops the group at the vine bridge—sudden, fragile-looking planks spanning a narrow gorge where the Iya River flashes below.
