About your Paradise Yoga Teacher Ishmael Sonico:

Ishmael’s path as a Yogi began over 20 years ago when neighbors invited him to a class. The practice became an integral part of his life as a means of achieving an internal and external balance without the pressure of competition. In April 2010, he completed his 200 plus hours of Teacher Training Certification at CorePower Yoga in Aliso Viejo, California. His classes bring an energetic Basic and Power Vinyasa style flow for students of all levels. In life’s journey, symbolic storms may arise. Yoga allowed Ishmael to find peace, relaxation and fluidity to overcome these challenges; Yoga provides the breath (Prana), concentration (Dharana) and contentment (Santosha) of self as a way of acknowledging personal efforts and knowing that in the here and now everyone is okay. Given the mental and physical benefits Ishmael discovered in Yoga, he decided that his experience would benefit friends, family, and community. As a result, Ishmael has shared his practice throughout Northern and Southern California with people in corporate offices, donation based events, private teachings, and multiple studios. Sharing Yoga leads to great things and amazing places. One of these special places is Paradise Point Resort and Spa where Ishmael continues to share positive energy through breath and yoga postures (asanas).
