Accessible only by boat, Egmont Key has a rich history, including an 1858 lighthouse, a Seminole camp, and Fort Dade from the Spanish-American War. Visitors can explore historic sites, hike, swim, snorkel, rock jumping into the water and more. The island is at the mouth of Tampa Bay, southwest of Fort De Soto Beach.

Passage Key

Passage Key, a protected wildlife area at the mouth of Tampa Bay, was established by President Roosevelt in 1905. Once a 60-acre island, it’s now a shifting sandbar that’s often submerged at high tide. Visitors must stay knee-deep in the water to protect the habitat. Also known as Naked Key, this clothing-optional sandbar makes this an adults-only charter.
