You meet at the rim of Gullfoss, wind cutting across the drop and steam from the river daring your camera to keep up. A red Sleipnir Monster Truck waits; its oversized tires promise a route through terrain that normal vehicles surrender to. The drive onto Kjölur (Kjalvegur) pushes you into the raw, open Highlands, where the world narrows to wind, snow and the low hum of the truck.
