##About This is an incredible opportunity to improve your freediving capabilities and immediately apply that to spearfishing when we take a boat to the Coronado Islands with a spearfishing guide. Getting this type of spearfishing guidance from someone who has been doing it for years is THE best way you can start your spearfishing journey.
Friday night and Saturday will follow the normal Molchanovs Wave 2 curriculum (see below), but on Sunday when we would normally do a depth session in La Jolla, we will take a boat out to do some depth work, and plenty of hunting.
Our goal is to give you the best freediving and spearfishing experience possible, so the location of our boat trip is to be determined by local conditions. If conditions are good, we will go to the Coronado Islands, which provides an amazing variety of hunting locations, as well as water that is generally much more clear than the local kelp beds. Keep in mind, this will require you to get a Mexican Fishing License. We promise it's worth it!
In order to get a Molchanovs W2 Freediver certificate, there are some requirements you need to pass, and usually Sunday is the day we would focus on those depths. That being said, we want you to focus on enjoying the sport more than anything else. If you purchase this class and don't pass, you will get 2 line diving or pool training sessions to use so that you can work out the kinks and get certified.
