Receive hands on boating instruction on our training vessel at Yarmouth Boat Yard.
Leaving or returning to the dock is often high stress. Gain confidence and be comfortable operating in close proximately of boats, docks, and in congested areas. This on the water powerboat course helps you understand how weather can affect boat physics and boat operation in confined areas.
During this is 3-hour training, our fully insured, licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captains will guide you through the following techniques:
Training will take place at Yarmouth Boat Yard on our Training Vessel which is a 24' Sea Fox 248 Avenger.
Show up 15 minutes before your class to ensure ample time for pre-departure safety checks and a brief walkthrough of course objectives.
Secure footing is critical on deck; closed-toe shoes with good grip help prevent slips during maneuvers.
Weather on coastal Maine can shift rapidly, so layering allows you to adjust comfort levels during the course.
Bring a water bottle as hands-on training keeps you engaged and active on deck.
