The tour will begin with an introduction to your friendly, certified tour guide, who will then lead you through the maze-like entry into the museums themselves. Once inside you will follow your guide through rooms upon rooms of beautiful, timeless treasures of sculpture, painting, mosaic and decoration.
Admire the rare sarcophagi carved of precious marble and stone, walk on stunning mosaic tile floors, and gaze up at the beautiful tromp l'oeil decoration of each room you pass through. Next your guide will lead you through the Gallery of the Candelabra, Maps and Tapestries on your way to stand in awe at Michelangelo's great paintings in the Sistine Chapel. Conclude your tour by descending the double helix staircase, perfect for photographs.

Know Before You Go

Please check-in at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time. Tours will depart promptly at the scheduled time, and no refunds will be given for late arrivals or missed tours.

Proof of identification may be required, so please bring a valid form of photo ID for each guest.

Tours will proceed in all weather conditions, unless the site is closed by authorities for safety reasons. It is highly recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen, hat, and umbrella.

There will be a security check upon entering the Vatican. Any weapons, sharp objects, glass or aerosol containers will be confiscated, so please do not bring these items to the tour.
