Additional Information

This Tour includes a former Inmate who will provide you with their insight into prison life. You will visit the Control Center Lobby, A-Hall - built in 1868 (with LIMITED ACCESS), Housing Unit #3 and the Gas Chamber

  • All attendees must sign a waiver and release of liability. An Electronic Waiver will be sent to you for signatures by all parties in your group. anyone under age of 18 also requires a parent/guardian signature.
  • Remember to dress weather appropriately, as there is no heat or air conditioning at the facility. We do not allow Food or Drink on the property. We sell bottled water in our Souvenir Shop.
  • We do allow you to take photographs while on the tour - we simply ask that you not videotape the tours.
  • Parking is provided on-street (at no charge) on Lafayette Street or State Street.

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your tour to check in and get oriented.

Wear Comfortable Shoes

You’ll be walking through uneven prison corridors and outdoor areas, so sturdy footwear is advised.
