About This Adventure

Fish the Mangrove Islands and Tidal Creeks!

Duration

4, 6, or 8 hours

About

Backwater fishing, or backcountry fishing, is fishing in the extensive network of bays, Mangrove Islands and tidal creeks that permeate the Region. There are thousands of miles of shoreline, countless oyster bars and acres of seagrass beds that attract an abundance of saltwater fish.

In these waters are four of the state's most sought after gamefish... Snook, Redfish, Spotted Sea Trout, and Tarpon.

Thousands of anglers come to Southwest Florida each year for the chance at a Grand Slam, catching one individual of each species in ONE day.

Perhaps the most significant factor contributing to the region's excellent fishing reputation is the vast track of fresh and saltwater wetlands protected by State and/or federal laws.

We are proud to be the only company in Marco Island with TripAdvisor's ""Hall of Fame"" title... that's 7 years of ""Certificate of Excellence!!*

Adventure Tips

Arrive early for the best fishing spots

Starting your trip at sunrise offers calmer waters and better chances of catching prime species.

Bring sun protection and hydration

Shoreline and shallow water fishing can be sunny and warm; pack sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water.

Use light tackle for a better experience

Light spinning gear enhances sensitivity and makes fighting fish more enjoyable without spooking them.

Check weather forecasts before your trip

Weather can change quickly in coastal areas, so plan accordingly for safety and comfort.
