Accessibility: Adapted to various fitness levels, this tour involves some light walking to fully appreciate the surroundings. Guests who wish to opt out of any walking/hiking are welcome to spend their time enjoying the exhibits in the Columbia Icefields Centre.

Lunch: Although there is the ability to purchase lunch at the Columbia Icefields Centre, we highly recommend you BYO or opt-in for our delicious picnic lunch to avoid disappointment.

What does the tour's schedule usually look like?

8:00am - 8:35am: Hotel pick ups in Banff 9:10am - 9:15am: Hotel pick ups in Lake Louise

9:30am - 3:00pm: Exploration and short walks at Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, Waterfowl Lakes, Columbia Icefields (Athabasca Glacier) & lots more along the Icefields Parkway

3:15pm - 3:30pm: Hotel drop-offs in Lake Louise 4:00pm - 4:15pm: Hotel drop-offs in Banff

Will the lakes be blue?

The high alpine lakes along the Icefields Parkway can remain frozen into early June and usually start to freeze again mid-November, but it all really depends. Either way, we promise that frozen or thawed, you'll be amazed at the beauty you see!
