Each session is 60 minutes of ice skating. This may be extended depending on advance reservations, rink occupancy and will be determined at the discretion of rink management.
Online bookings are required this year to enjoy a one-hour skating session and partake in our special events.
A holiday tradition, ice skating in Santa Monica promises to bring a smile to everyone’s face and delight you and your skating partners – big and small, young and old.
Ice Skates Skates are included with admission. Figure and hockey skate sizes range from toddler size 8 to adult’s size 15. You may also bring your own ice skates.
Skate Helpers For beginning skaters under 48" tall, we offer Skate Helpers: Penguin & Polar Bear Helpers that glide with the skater along the ice and helps with balance and control. Skaters must be able to stand on their own and push the Helper by themselves. Others cannot push them. For safety considerations, Skate Helpers cannot be rented to anyone over 48" tall and are rented at the discretion of the Rink Manager.
Lockers Lockers are available to rent for $5. They are large enough to hold a couple of pairs of shoes, a medium-sized handbag, and a few small purchases.
While the weather for ice skating in Santa Monica is rarely frightful, the temperature on the ice may range from balmy to chilly. We recommend layers and, if prone to frigid fingers, mittens/gloves. We sell both gloves and socks if you forget them.
Private ice skating sessions can fill up quickly, so reserve your spot early to guarantee availability.
The rink can be chilly, so dress in layers that are easy to remove if you warm up skating.
Give yourself extra time to get fitted for skates and receive a brief safety overview before skating.
Even in cool conditions, skating is a workout—drink water before and after your session.
