Tour description

Who gets the first fish? Ice fishing, a traditional Finnish pastime, offers enjoyment for the whole family. Settle onto a reindeer skin and watch as your guide skillfully drills a hole in the ice. Savor a warm drink by the fire while anticipating the nibble of perch or other freshwater fish. Just imagine – you're seated above several meters of water, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Arctic landscape! If the fishing gods favor you, our guide can expertly turn the catch into a tasty snack right on the spot.

Please note

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:

  • Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:

  • The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
  • The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center (Korkalonkatu 32, Rovaniemi) and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
  • Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
  • You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
  • Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
  • The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
  • If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:

  • You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
  • Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
  • Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
  • Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
