You lift off from a sun-scrubbed ridgeline and the valley drops away beneath you—rocky folds of the Sierra Madre spread like a raw, folded map and the Boca Dam flashes blue in the distance. Wind nudges the wing and your pilot steadies the glider; for the next 15–30 minutes you trade the hard edges of trail and road for the slow, clean motion of flight.

3–4 hours.
Moderate fitness required—able to walk short uneven slopes and stand during launch.
Flight time is typically 15–30 minutes depending on conditions; total activity time including transfers and briefing is about 3–4 hours.
Minimum age is usually 13 (under 18 requires an accompanying adult); maximum weight is 85 kg (180 lbs). Confirm with the operator at booking.
Pilots may let guests hold brake toggles briefly once stable, but the certified pilot handles takeoff, landing and primary controls.
The operator cancels flights in unsafe wind or storm conditions and offers a full refund if canceled more than 24 hours ahead or rescheduling when possible.
Santiago and nearby valleys developed around ranching and small-scale industry; the Boca reservoir reshaped local access and provides a visual landmark from the air.
Pilots and operators follow weight and safety limits to reduce rescue needs; pack out all trash and avoid disrupting raptors and nesting birds in spring.
