Hyper Shock Lasertag in Edzell: Electric Team Laser Tag Near Brechin

On High Street in the small Angus village of Edzell, Hyper Shock Lasertag Group Package turns classic laser tag into a pulse-quickening, team-driven game that’s equal parts strategy and spectacle. Located at High St, Edzell, Brechin DD9 7TF, this two-hour session equips up to eight players with laser guns and buzzing shoulder pads that register hits with a safe, mild electric jolt—an engineered nudge that makes impacts feel real without lasting pain. The venue itself is less a flat arena and more an indoor tactical playground: low light, multi-zone layouts, fortified barricades, and themed scenarios paced by a dedicated game marshal. What sets this offering apart is the Hyper Shock system. Where standard laser tag relies on light alone, these shoulder pads create an immediate physical sensation on hit, sharpening focus and raising the stakes for every sprint and dodge. Games include objective-based missions, team elimination, and glow-in-the-dark options for evening bookings. The experience is deliberately social — perfect for birthdays, stag and hen parties, or corporate team-building — and the small-group cap (min 4, max 8 per base package) ensures everyone stays engaged. Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the High St meeting point and a concise safety briefing; all participants must sign a waiver and be 16 or older. Play is overseen by trained staff who guide game flow, tune scenarios to the group’s skill level, and enforce safety rules — no alcohol, no drugs, and certain medical conditions (heart conditions, epilepsy, pacemakers) mean this trip isn’t appropriate. The package includes two hours of play, full Hyper Shock gear, and a marshal; food, transport, and optional party add-ons are extra. This laser-tag session sits at the edge of the Angus countryside, within reach of Brechin and scenic trails by the North Esk river, so it pairs well with a day of hikes or castle visits nearby. The mixture of high-tech gear and human competition makes the activity feel immediate and local: it’s an out-of-the-box choice in a region better known for farmland and historical sites. Practical tips: wear closed-toe shoes and layers for quick movement, bring a water bottle, and be ready to charge your phone for QR-code check-in. Groups can expand their roster for a fee and request themed missions or pro-photo packages. For anyone visiting Edzell who wants a short, intense, and memorable indoor adventure that’s a little louder than a pub quiz and sharper than a standard go-kart session, Hyper Shock’s electric laser tag delivers. Bookings are flexible with add-ons for glow-mode and photography; check the booking link for availability, group surcharges, and accessibility details—staff will tailor scenarios for mixed-ability groups, so contact the operator in advance to plan the session before you arrive.
