Tour description

What do the huskies eat? How do they train for the winter season? Why do they love to run? The answers to these questions, and any others you might have, will be provided during your trip to our husky farm. Here, you'll have the chance to pet these lovable and friendly animals, capture photos, and learn about how the husky farm operates. If the weather permits, the tour also includes a short ride with a wheeled cart to demonstrate the pulling power of huskies! To conclude, we'll gather around a campfire and enjoy a hot drink.

Please note

Our husky farm is a few minutes’ walk from the resort.

For the well-being of our dogs, husky rides are available only when the temperature is 10°C or colder.

We kindly ask all our guests to treat the animals with respect. Always approach slowly, avoiding sudden movements that might startle the animals. While our dogs are accustomed to humans and are friendly, maintaining a peaceful composure will ensure the best experience.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:

• Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:

• The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
• The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
• Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
• You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
• Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
• The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
• If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:

• You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
• Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
• Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
• Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
