You step off the dusty Ho Chi Minh Road and the jungle swallows the track behind you — humid air folding over limestone ridges, the river ahead daring you to cross. By midday the canopy narrows into a corridor of roots and light; at Nuoc Lan basecamp the lake waits like a dark mirror and caves yawn into the hills.

Good cardio endurance and comfort with multi-day hiking, river crossings, and short cave swims; ability to carry a small daypack.
You should be comfortable with full days of hiking on uneven, muddy terrain and able to swim short cave passages; no technical climbing required but stamina matters.
Some swims (short, guided) are part of the itinerary; guides offer assistance and alternatives in case of concern, but basic swimming ability is expected.
Camping gear, safety equipment, guided support, porters (carry up to 3kg), most meals, and entrance fees are included as listed in the itinerary.
