You step out of the jeep at 4,100 m and the air sharpens like a struck bell—Rondoy and Ninashanca tower above the camp, their ridgelines cutting the sky. For four days the Huayhuash Mini Trek threads sun-baked moraine, wind-scoured passes and mirror-flat alpine lakes, moving between villages, moraña and high puna.

Moderate fitness with experience on multi-day treks and the ability to hike 3–6 hours at high altitude; prior acclimatization advised.
Moderate multi-day trekking experience is recommended—this trek includes camping, carrying a daypack and hiking at 4,000–4,750 m.
The dry season (May–September) offers the most stable weather and clearer views; expect afternoon storms in the rainy months (Dec–Mar).
Meals listed include breakfasts, lunches and dinners as per the itinerary; bring personal snacks and any special dietary items and notify the operator ahead of time.
Altitude is the main risk—follow acclimatization advice, hydrate, ascend slowly, and descend if symptoms worsen; consult a physician if you have cardiovascular concerns.
