The tour typically includes hotel pickup in Ica/Huacachina, transport in an air-conditioned vehicle, entrance to wineries, tastings, buggy ride, and sandboarding equipment; lunch is often at your own expense.
On normal days the buggy segment can last about 1–2 hours (companies sometimes run a shorter 1-hour program on national holidays), with sandboarding periods interspersed.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with serious back, neck, or heart conditions due to bumpy rides and sudden movements.
