Unlike other slot canyon tours, there are never any crowds here. Most often you’ll have the whole canyon to yourselves. After the slot canyon we cruise stop in beautiful Kanab Creek Canyon near Best Friends Animal Sanctuary where there is a granary ruin and a rock art site.
We, then, hit Horseshoe Bend, about 1 hour away. There is a 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike on a dirt trail, which is both uphill and downhill. Get a chance to look over the edge of the bend — about 1,000 feet (305 meters) down — to a rock formation in the Colorado River. Horseshoe Bend is the top attraction in both the Lake Powell and Page areas.
