About

We start Riders in the Ring to ensure that all riders have full control of the horse. Once this is established we will proceed out to the beautiful trails which may include hills, open fields and forest trails. The route taken will be based on the ‘length of ride’ and the ability of the riders. The One-Hour Ride is a basic ride on the trails on the property. It is done at a walk. The 2-Hour Ride is much longer and does include some trotting 99% of the time, (but is dependent on the riders.) We look forward to seeing you soon!

Things to Know

  • Please wear 'closed' shoes. Warm socks in the winter and ensure you have socks on in the summer!!All riders must wear helmets. If you do not have a riding helmet; we have many riding helmets at the Ranch.
  • Summer - Long pants (to below knee) are definitely a good idea. In the winter dress ‘more-warmly’ than you would expect– as the forest trails can be cool. If it looks like rain – wear something as waterproof as possible.
  • Please arrive fifteen or twenty minutes prior to Booked ‘Ride Time’; to ‘check in’ at the Table on the Front porch. You can select and adjust a helmet while you wait for your guide to greet you. -' Child Riders' are Children from ‘6 to 9 years’ old and can join on a ‘lead-line’ to the guide. (Maximum of two young ones per ride). Younger children may be able to have a lesson on a pony while others ride. Ten and older no limit on numbers; (within ride capacity).
