- For the riders seeking to see more of the high country surrounding Pagosa Springs and those that are tired of the average trail ride. On this tour you will ride through the San Juan National Forest and see a variety of landscape away from the crowds. You can bring your food and we will break at Larry's lunch room, overlooking the fabulous upper Blanco Basin of the South San Juans with views reaching all the way to New Mexico. Overlooking Buckles Lake and layers of mountains, at almost 11,000 feet you will feel like you are on top of the world. Once you leave the trailhead into the national forest it is not uncommon to be completely alone with nature, just as things were 150 years ago. Be sure to free up space on your camera, you will take a lot of pictures! Known for our friendly horses, breathtaking vistas, and unique trip locations, we also offer a two hour ride, full day ride, and a variety of overnight majestic pack trips.
