You arrive down a narrow farm lane; a mare lifts her head and snuffs the air as Julie, your host and riding guide, offers a steadying smile. The farm sits on the edge of broad, ploughed fields and small hedgerow-lined lanes typical of Picardie. The wind moves through crop rows like a patient guide, and the horses shift their weight, ready to walk you into the landscape.
