Darkes Forest Riding Ranch is located in Darkes Forest, New South Wales. The ranch offers a range of guided horseback experiences designed for children and adults, including Pony Play Camps for ages 5–7, Pony Rides for children under 7, Trail Ride Parties, Guided Bush Trek Tours, Private Riding Lessons, Early Bird and High Noon Tours, and School Holiday Camps.
Instruction and safety are central to the ranch’s approach. Expert instructors and experienced trail leaders guide riders on half-hour to hour-long rides, tailor lessons to all skill levels, and run private, semi-private, or group sessions seven days a week. Many experiences limit group sizes to ensure personalised attention; Pony Play Camps include expert instruction, snacks, and a Certificate of Participation. Pony Rides introduce young children to pony care and basic riding in a supervised setting.
Guided bush treks and trail ride parties explore the surrounding Darkes Forest landscape, with options suited for large groups and riders of varying abilities. Specialty weekend experiences include the Early Bird Tour, a 1.5-hour dawn ride followed by a fully cooked breakfast, and the High Noon Tour, a 1.5-hour ride complemented by a specially prepared lunch (High Noon Tours require booking at least 24 hours in advance).
School Holiday Camps provide full-day activities focused on riding skills, horse care, meals, and a special treat. The ranch combines nature-based trail riding with structured lessons and family-friendly programs to create safe, memorable outdoor equestrian experiences. Bookings and availability are managed only through direct contact.
