As the Arctic night descends, your adventure is set to begin. Embark on a horse-drawn sleigh ride beneath the starry northern skies, and see how dreams are turned into reality.

Tour description

Experience the Arctic in a different light under the night sky. Amidst the snowy banks, you're transported to a magical world. Traverse frost-covered forests in a horse-drawn sleigh, cocooned in warm blankets. Gaze above and marvel at the stars. Perhaps even the Auroras will appear, as the northern sky is filled with many mysteries and enchanting displays. At the forest's edge, a blazing bonfire invites you, offering hot drinks and light snacks. Enjoy these delights while the myths of the North are shared, creating a joyful atmosphere for our delighted guests.

Please note

A short walk is required to reach the horses.

All our horse sleighs are operated by professional guides.

Each sleigh can accommodate approximately six to eight people. Our guide will assign guests to specific sleighs to ensure proper weight distribution. Naturally, our aim is to seat families and parties together whenever possible.

Special diet options (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) are available upon request.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:

  • Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:

  • The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
  • The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center (Korkalonkatu 32, Rovaniemi) and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
  • Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
  • You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
  • Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
  • The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
  • If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:

  • You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
  • Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
  • Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
  • Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
