Should I Choose a Single Kayak or Tandem (2-person) Kayak? We are one of the few companies on Puget Sound that offers the choice between single & tandem kayaks. We provide touring kayaks (sea kayaks) for all of our trips. They tend to be narrower and sleeker than recreational kayaks. Our tandems are very stable, fast, and a lot of fun to paddle with a partner. They are long enough that each person can paddle at their own pace and steering is controlled by a rudder. They are great for novices, experienced kayakers, and people who may not be as active as they once were. If you prefer to paddle a single kayak you should be relatively active and have a good sense of balance. The possibility of capsizing in a single is greater and the paddler should be able to reenter the kayak in the water with the assistance of a guide.

Price includes all necessary equipment, guide, instruction, and dry bags for small personal items. We ask that you provide your own water, snacks, and appropriate clothing. Layers of synthetic clothing (avoid cotton) are best! Shoes that can get wet, and a rain jacket:)
