You step off the shuttle at The Shire's Rest and a broad green slope opens before you: round doors cut into grassy banks, smoke curling from a faux chimney, and the Kaimai Ranges standing like a slow ridge on the horizon. The air is grass-sweet and the wind seems to playfully rearrange the curtains in Bagshot Row as your guide begins to walk you through the set.
