Rund um den Winterhuder Marktplatz hat Winterhude viele Gesichter: Dampferanleger, Bleicherhäuser, stattliche Gründerzeitbauten, Rotklinkerhäuser und der Stadtpark. Wir gehen auf diesem Stadtrundgang der Entwicklung vom mittelalterlichen Bauerndorf zum Ort der Handwerker bis zum Viertel der »Großgrundbesitzer« nach.

Wir erzählen auch die Geschichte der Traditionsgaststätte „Winterhuder Fährhaus“, von Hamburgs Gelehrtenschule Johanneum, des „Sierichschen Gehölzes“ sowie der „Schlammkiste“ am Grasweg.
