Portsmouth is one of America’s oldest cities and by far, it's a hidden gem with numerous significant events that have helped shaped modern day America. Portsmouth is the 4th oldest city, and happily, many of its most interesting landmarks are nestled in compact parts of the city, meaning they can be easily visited on foot. With Portsmouth's multicolored 18th-century clapboard homes, Georgian mansions, the grand white-steepled North Church — which visitors can appreciate up close throughout the walkable downtown.

The city is also dotted with contemporary cultural venues: art galleries, music and amazing food and drink offerings.  We'll stroll along the 17th-century streets and alleys of Portsmouth's historic South End neighborhood with your guide, as you trace the city’s evolution from the pre-American Revolution to the current day.

During the tour, you’ll walk in the footsteps of pioneers while learning about historic events, such as the Treaty of Portsmouth, Paul Revere's first famous ride and much more. Our two hour walking tour will include the following historic sites, history, stories and more:
