Your destination is the historic Bull & Barley Inn, where you’ll enjoy a specially prepared lunch in the warm country pub atmosphere. This package includes a delicious alternate-drop main and dessert.

Formerly used exclusively by the Queensland Railway Executives to tour and inspect the railway network, these iconic railmotors now offer a unique opportunity for passengers to travel in style and comfort.

Special Day Menu:

Alternate Drop Main Meal: Roast pork with vegetables or flathead tails with chips and salad.

Alternate Drop Dessert: Sticky date pudding with Rusty Mill maple liqueur sauce or cappuccino cheesecake with cream.

Passengers can sit directly behind the drivers watching the track ahead though the panoramic widescreens to feel the excitement of being at the heart of the action as you traverse through the scenic countryside.

Our meticulously restored, air-conditioned railmotors ensure that every moment of your journey is as delightful as it is memorable. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply seeking a unique adventure, our railway tours offer an unforgettable experience.

The total rail experience will last approximately 4 hours.

Trip Itinerary

From 19:30 am - Guests may arrive at Toowoomba Station

11:00 am – Depart Toowoomba Station aboard the Commissioner Railmotor.

12:00pm – Arrive at Cambooya and walk across to the Bull & Barley Inn for lunch.

2:00pm – Reboard the railmotor for your return journey.

3:00pm – Arrive back at Toowoomba Station.

Please Note:

Drinks are available for purchase at the Bull & Barley Inn.

Due to the alternate drop service, we are unable to cater for specific dietary requirements or food allergies.

Passengers are encouraged to wear flat, comfortable shoes for the short walk between the station and the pub.

Please plan to arrive at Toowoomba Station atleast 30 minutes before departure. Onboard toilets are available on both railmotors. Concession fares are not available for this trip.

We will endeavour to honour advance seating requests; however, seating may be reassigned at any time for operational, safety, or other reasonable purposes.

Accessibility

Unfortunately, due to the era of the Railmotors, wheelchair access is not available. Access requires using steps into the carriages.
