The Overton Park Shell (where Elvis Presley rocked his first pro gig in 1954) is an historic concert venue in Midtown Memphis which now offers hour-long guided museum tours that relate many other important “firsts” while colorfully twisting through Memphis’s rich live music history. From the W.C. Handy era, to the 1950s' of early Rock & Roll, to the 1960s’ Country Blues Festivals, through the Classic Rock 1970's daze (and beyond), The Shell has survived – and much more!

Meet on The Shell’s historic stage via the short staircases on either side. An ADA ramp to the stage is available from the loading dock on the north side or parking lot on the east side
