Visit the Rose Hall Great House which is a classic 18th century sugar plantation mansion built on the shores of Montego Bay in 1780. However, this is more than a pretty house, its last mistress, Annie Palmer (the White Witch of Rose Hall) is an infamous figure in Jamaican history and the house also tells her story. A practitioner of voodoo, the Haitian art of black magic, Palmer presided over her plantation and the slaves who worked it in a cruel and was met with a violent death in a slave uprising in 1831.
