The Tour starts at the beautiful sandstone buidling called the Hahndorf Academy. Then walkers enjoy going into the Hufendorf (the original layout of the Village) and down back streets to see Germanic cottages to which HWT has exclusive access. Visit the first Lutheran church in Australia, pioneer cemetery and oldest fachwerk cottage in Australia, all built in the 1830s.
You will hear stories about the early settlers of Hahndorf and their flight from Prussia. Find out stories about the town you don’t hear by just walking the street.
The tour is a lot of fun and you’ll have quite a few laughs as well.
