First day:

The battle of la Fière bridge, 2km west of Sainte-Mère-Eglise, “bloodiest small unit action in the history of the US Army in WWII”, a three day (6-9 of June) battle between the 82nd US Airborne Divison and the German 91st Luftlande Division Sainte-Mère Eglise main objective for the 82nd Airborne on D-Day and its fantastic Airborne Museum, The German fortifications in the dunes of Varraville, where American troops should have landed Utah Beach and the landing of the 4th US Infantry Division Brecourt Manor and the assault on the German gun position by Easy Co, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne, made famous by Stephen Ambrose’s Band Of Brothers Angoville-au-Plain and the heroic story of BobWright and Kenneth Moore, two medics in the midth of battle Dead Man’s Corner, Purple Heart Lane and the 101st Airborne assault on Carentan

Second Day:

The La Cambes German Cemetery, largest German cemetery in Normandy The German coastal gun battery at Pointe-du-Hoc, the heroic cliff assault of the 2nd Ranger Battalion Several stops on Omaha Beach around the epic struggle of the 1st and 29th US infantry division to get off the beach The Overlord Museum in Colleville-sur-Mer, one of the most impressive private collection in Normandy Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer
