About

The outstanding architecture, antique 19th century furnishings, high style decor, landscaped gardens and fascinating history are just a few of the things that make The Burn so prominent and distinctive. The Burn was built in 1834 to be the residence of John and Sarah Walworth. Mr. Walworth was a wealhy planter, merchant, banker, and politician. The Burn is the earliest documented Greek Revival residence in Natchez. It is listed on the National Register of Historic places since 1979. The Burn offers daily complimentary tours to all guests staying overnight at our luxury Inn. In the evening, we open our doors to the public for either a standard tour of the home or a special evening of live piano music, wine, and hors d'oeuvres.
