With over 150 years of Australia’s heritage on display, Fort Queenscliff is one of Victoria’s most important historic sites and one of the largest and best preserved forts in the Australia.

Take a tour and enjoy the rare opportunity to see a 19th century Coastal Artillery Fort with a range of guns, underground magazines, heritage buildings, a working lighthouse and a Military Museum all contained within this large unique brick walled fort. Please be aware

  • PASSPORTS ARE REQUIRED FOR INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
  • Access to the Fort is ONLY by guided tours
  • Tours start from: Fort Gates at 1 King Street (cnr of King St. and Gellibrand St.)
  • Arrive 10 minutes before tour start time
  • Defence Dept. requires Printed ID Card with Photo for all adults (digital ID not accepted)
  • Gates are locked promptly by Defence Security at tour times listed (please be early)
  • There are no public toilets at the Fort

Geelong Gaol entry 12pm - 5pm every day during School holidays and Public holidays.

Geelong Gaol is Victoria’s longest running colonial gaol. Walk in the footsteps of our convict past. You will be surrounded by spine tingling stories of life locked behind the walls of one of the oldest and most infamous gaols in Victoria

It has been the home of convicted men, women and children from the criminal underclass housing murderers, rapists, thieves, lunatics, vagrants and the industrial school children.
