It's official; the wait is finally over! Now is your chance to go behind-the-scenes at the new Kiboko River Station at the Gulf Breeze Zoo. Enjoy exclusive access to our Hippo habitat, where our dedicated animal care specialists will introduce guests to our two Nile hippos, the world's third-largest land mammal, and share specifics about their daily routines, care, training, unique behaviors, and diets. Guests will enjoy feeding the hippos under the watchful eye of our animal care specialist while learning about active conservation efforts in the wild to protect them.

The minimum age is six (6), and a paying adult must accompany children between ages 6 and 12
Encounters occur once daily at 12:00pm. Reservation strongly recommended.

Hippo Encounter tickets do not include zoo admission; plan accordingly to access the zoo grounds.
Check in early to avoid missing the brief 20-minute encounter, which starts promptly at 12:00 PM.
