A handful of steps off a busy square, the city exhales and the trail takes you upward through concrete, graffiti and the sudden green of Atlantic Forest scrub. The climb to Morro Dois Irmãos (Two Brothers) begins in Vidigal, a favela that watches Ipanema and São Conrado from a steep ridge, and unfolds into sweeping views of beaches, Sugarloaf, Corcovado and the patchwork of hillside communities below.

Suitable for those with moderate fitness; expect continuous uphill sections and short scrambling—able-bodied walkers comfortable on uneven terrain will do fine.
The uphill portion to the main viewpoint is about 50–60 minutes depending on pace; the whole tour runs 3–4 hours including cultural stops.
