You step onto weathered limestone, the sea slicing a long, silver line below, and the trail narrows to a single-file ribbon carved into the cliff. Wind tugs at your hat as the village roofs of Positano and the silhouette of Capri appear and disappear through scrubby Mediterranean pines and fragrant thyme.
