Lokale Verordnungen erwähnten zuweilen Gebücke um unserer Ortschaften, wie etwa das Feldpolizeigesetz des Grafen Balthasar v. Nassau-Idstein, welches bestimmte, dass mit 10 Gulden Geldstrafe bestraft werden soll, wer das "Beschädigen des die Flecken umgebenden Gebücks oder der Zäune" verursacht.
Wie entstand das "Rheingauer Gebück"? Wo verlief es genau? Was ist davon heute noch übrig? Kann man echte Gebückbäume heute noch sehen?
Unsere Rundtour erzählt Ihnen die Geschichte der Rheingauer Landwehr auf dem östlichsten Stück des Gebücks im Hinterlandswald - und führt Sie zu den letzten verbleibenden Resten der nun jahrhundertealten Gebückbäume.

Wir wandern bei jedem Wetter. Bei anhaltend schlechtem Wetter wird die Tour, soweit möglich, abgekürzt. Bei voraussehbaren extremen Wetterlagen wird die Wanderung bis ca. 1,5 h vor Tourenstart per Email/Telefon an alle Teilnehmer abgesagt.
