You round a final switchback and the city falls away — Monterrey’s grid of roofs and highways shrinks beneath the limestone lip. Wind teases at the cliff edge, and the narrow trail steps you toward a hole in the rock locals call Nido de los Aguiluchos. From that shelf the canyon drops away in layers, and the air seems to dare you forward.
